MTConnect is an ANSI standard protocol developed specifically for manufacturing equipment. It provides a common language that allows CNC machines, PLCs, robots, and other machine types to communicate their status and performance data in a consistent, structured format, regardless of the manufacturer or control type. Data can be delivered to ERP and MES systems, SQL and time series databases, Power BI, and third-party machine monitoring tools. It can also be delivered via OPC UA, MQTT, or MTConnect agents, depending on your infrastructure.

Legacy equipment may have no native communication output at all. Juxtum’s MTConnect adapter software automatically discovers each asset’s unique configuration, including its axes, spindles, geometry, and physics, and translates that machine’s native data into the MTConnect ANSI standard format. The process is entirely software-based. No production interruption. No manual configuration of complex XML files. No downtime. For most CNC machines, data is flowing in approximately ten minutes.
From the adapter to your systems
Once data is standardized by the adapter, an MTConnect agent aggregates it for downstream systems. Juxtum delivers that data to virtually any destination your operation relies on, including ERP and MES systems, SQL and time series databases, Power BI, and third-party machine monitoring tools. For manufacturers who want an integrated visualization layer, Juxtum View builds directly on top of the adapter, adding real-time dashboards, utilization reports, and production analytics.
